¡Simón!

Hey everyone! Hope yall had a great week! Here's what happened up here in Victoria this week:

Highlights:

-Our friend Jordie accepted the invitation to be Baptized next month! We are so excited for him!

-We met our new friend Tyler at Stake Conference this weekend and he is so elect. We had a great lesson with him and he also accepted the invitation to be Baptized in 2 months! We are so excited for him!

-This week, we set our finding goal very high. We had to exercise our faith, but by doing so, we found 14 new people this week! We had some incredible experiences!

-Dallas Road Miracle: We were talking to people along a scenic trail over on Dallas Road, when I felt prompted to go off the trail to a little viewpoint. Immediately we ran into Damion. He was at his breaking point and he cried out to God for help, and then we immediately showed up. We had a great conversation with him, and he definitely felt the love he needed at that time.

-Stake Conference! We had Stake Conference this weekend, and it was phenomenal! So many great talks and the Spirit was so strong!

-ESL madness. We teach English Classes here in Victoria, and we have been trying to make them more engaging for the people there, so this week, we had a push-up competition. It left me very sore, but was quite entertaining haha.

-Simón is my new favorite Spanish word. It is slang for Heck ya.

Lowlights:

-It is so deceiving here in Victoria. The sun comes out and it's all green, but yet it's still not super warm. Can't wait for summer to come back haha.

Also, we do have transfers this week, we find out Thursday what happens, so stay tuned for that!

Spiritual Thought:

-At Stake Conference, Elder Rosen of the Seventy was there, and he spoke beautifully of how missionary work is inevitably tied to a covenantal relationship with our Heavenly Father. He spoke of how that is the purpose of missionary work, to help provide these Covenants to not only those of whom we interact here in our lives, but also those who have passed on. He told us that attending the temple, and performing the associated ordinances needed for our ancestors, is in fact, missionary work. It was a beautiful perspective I hadn't quite realised, that the temple was so key in conversion on both sides of the veil. It ties us all perfectly together as one big eternal family, and brings the peace and joy that comes with conversion! Overall, a wonderful experience at Stake Conference!

Anyways y'all, that's it for this week! Have a great week and I'll talk to y'all next week!

Haawa!
