Well everyone this is it. A week to go. Crazy how the time flies. But I wouldn't take back any of it. The last two years have been life-changing.

💥Let's Go Out With A Bang💥
This will be my last email. It will be a bit long, but I thought I would go out with a bang.
First, here's this week's update:
Highlights:
-We
went out to Hope! Such a beautiful small town! However, we decided to
go finding on a public trail that was not easy. Needless to say we are
super sore and it was a pretty humid day. We had a cool conversation
with a family at the end of the trail though.
-We had a
fantastic lesson with our friend Oscar this week, the Spirit was so
strong, and he is know thinking about being Baptized! We are super
excited for him!
-We went out to White Rock again which was
super fun. I love this area, sometimes you're in a town in the
mountains, or right by a beach. It's so diverse.
-We had a
really cool lesson with our friend Satya this week! We talked about
temples and we were even able to teach him in the Temple Waiting room!
It was so cool! He also got Confirmed this week so we are super excited
to help him work towards going to the Temple!
-I went on an
Exchange with Elder Hirst! It was funny cause he was my last companion,
so it felt very normal for us to be working together again. We had a
great time. One cool experience was that we were driving to a member
appointment, when we saw a huge group of goats randomly walking down the
road. Elder Hirst said we should knock one of the doors nearby to ask
about the goats. So we did. We ended up talking to this guy about the
goats, and had a good little conversation with him. Needless to say, the
goats normally do that everyday. But as we left, there were a lot of
goat jokes made haha.
Anyways that's the update for the week.
But
I thought I would also share a miracle from each of my areas that I've
served in. Each of these has helped me to see that God is refining me,
and that his work is moving forward at an accelerating pace! Here we go:
Kamloops:
It
was so long ago I was in Kamloops, but here's a cool experience: I
remember being in a park downtown late in the evening with Elder Achal,
and we didn't have any much luck talking to people. As we were heading
back to the car, I looked over at a bridge and felt the Spirit prompt me
to go over to the bridge. I thought nah no one's around it's not going
to be worth it. But the feeling came again, and I told Elder Achal we
needed to go to the bridge. So we walked over and at the exact moment we
got on the bridge, another guy did too. We ended up having a great
conversation with him and got his phone number. It was a cool experience
because it gave me the confidence that God wants to help me, and when I
act on those spiritual promptings, miracles happen.
Port Alberni:
In
Port Alberni, I remember one cold December night about a week from
Christmas, as me and Elder Walcer taught our friend Madi in a public
spot downtown. I felt like I was going to shiver to death, but as we
were teaching, the Spirit grew strong and warmed me up. It continued to
grow and I had the prompting to invite Madi to be Baptized. I didn't
know how to do that, but I just started talking. I said the invitation
perfectly and clearly. The Spirit was super strong, and each of us left
that meeting with a few frozen tears. Since then, Madi has been an
example to me of following Jesus Christ. She is now planning on serving a
Mission in a year or so.
Nanaimo:
A
miracle I saw in Nanaimo was we were driving to the church when I had a
feeling we needed to go to a park downtown. I had no idea why, but I
knew it was the Spirit, so I told Elder Walcer we needed to go there. We
heeded the prompting. We got there and started walking around. I wasn't
sure why we needed to be there. But I saw a man at the other side of
the park, looking out into the ocean. I said a prayer in my heart to God
that if he was the one, that he wouldn't move until we walked up to
him. He didn't move. I felt the spirit strongly, and as we talked to him
for the next hour, he expressed how much he loved our church, and how
he wanted to join so bad, but couldn't due to religious conflict in his
family back in his native country. We comforted him and had a fantastic
conversation. I still pray for him this day that he will be able to one
day receive the blessings of making Covenants with God. It taught me
that God has a plan for everyone and will give everyone the opportunity
to come to Him!
Surrey:
So much
happened in Surrey. But one miracle I saw was the importance of Charity.
In Surrey I had my first hard companion. We were very different and had
a hard time getting along. However I found Joy in serving him. Simple
things as expressing gratitude for him completely changed our
relationship and our work in Surrey. Because of that I don't look back
on my time other as a terrible time, but as a time of learning and
growth. I built connections that will last forever.
Prince Rupert:
Ah
I better be careful what I say cause there are some members on this
email list from Prince Rupert haha. No really I learned so much from my
short time in Prince Rupert. A miracle I saw was the power of community.
The people in Prince Rupert were some of the most Christlike
individuals I have met. They taught me that when we are all united
together in Christ, Joy is to be found, and because of that, others see
that Joy, and want to partake of it. I made lots of friends in Prince
Rupert, and even had the wonderful opportunity to see them(over zoom)
enter the waters of Baptism! What I learned was that when we are all
united in one cause, we can become a powerful, united community!
Haida Gwaii:
My
time on Haida Gwaii was tender. I learned so much. It changed me. One
important lesson I learned is when you minister as Christ ministered,
people remember, and the Spirit touches them. I barely taught when I was
on Haida Gwaii, I mostly served the community. Originally they didn't
like us, but slowly through service, and the love that comes through
Ministering, the work on Haida Gwaii has begun to accelerate. Even to
the point that someone has now made the decision to be Baptized on Haida
Gwaii. It's so incredible to see how Ministering can change
everything.
Victoria YSA:
A cool
miracle I saw when working down in the capital of BC was one night when
me and Elder Astle had some extra time pop up and we decided to let the
Lord guide us. We felt a prompting we needed to go to Sidney, which was
about a 40 minute drive north. So we drove up there, and let the Spirit
guide each turn we made until we ended up at a house in Sidney. We
knocked on the door and had an incredible talk with the lady who
answered. It was incredible to tell her that God inspired us to come all
the way from Victoria just so we could talk to her. Our testimony
touched her, and touched me. The Spirit really can guide us exactly to
where we need to be. We just need to be willing to listen.
Victoria 2nd:
The
Lord prepares people. I saw that happen in my time in Victoria 2nd
Ward. After Stake Conference one Sunday, a member in the Ward brought a
friend for us to meet. We got talking to him, and he told us his whole
story about how God has prepared him, and the Miracles he's seen along
the way. He told us he wanted to be Baptized. As we met and helped him
prepare for that, I could truly see how the Lord had changed him and
help him to have a purpose in life, and the Joy that comes with
following God. It was Joyous day when I had the opportunity to Baptize
him and help him make that Covenant with God!
Victoria 1st:
Victoria
1st Ward was my hardest area. However I learned a very important
lesson. God is still with us during the hard times. Even though it was
very hard, I still had Joy! How? I almost had to end my mission early
because I almost broke my foot. But the Lord still gave me Joy! Why?
Because I kept trying. Even though it was hard I went day by day trying
my best to serve him, and he still showed me that he loves me. It was
definitely an area to remember!
Fraser Valley YSA:
And
now we are to the FVYSA. I have learned so much here. It was the area I
was in the longest. But what I learned was the importance of
Consecration. My time here was a reflection of everything I had learned.
I had seen how the Lord had changed me, refined me into a new person. I
felt like Alma in a sense. While my conversion wasn't drastic like his
was, mine was slow. Little by little. But I can truly say that my time
here has shown me that I do know that the Gospel is true, that Jesus is
the Christ, and that God loves all of us. And that we can do this. I
loved my time here in the YSA, it has shown me the true growth and
Consecration that comes through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I
have loved my time here in BC. There is a saying that every single day
for the rest of your life you will remember your mission. I can attest
to that. The things I have learned and the Miracles I have witnessed are
incredible. I rejoice in the goodness of God and the Joy that comes
even thought the obstacles of life. As a final invitation to you all, I
invite each of you to listen or read President Monson's talk: "Joy in
the Journey". I love this talk. It summaries the importance of the
journey, and how it prepares us to return to God to "dwell in a state of
never-ending happiness".
I bear you my
testimony that God lives, and Jesus is the Christ. The Gospel of Jesus
Christ is a powerful virtuous cycle that changes us into greater beings
than we can ever become on our own. When we follow Jesus Christ, he can
help us navigate the dangerous waters of life, and bring us safely back
to shore.
I may only have a week left, but the memories I have from here will last forever.
Haawa
everyone for listening in the last 2 years. It's been a ride, and I
hope that you can see God in each of your lives each and every day.
Haawa Haawa!

Any Friend of Jesus is a Friend of Mine
Hey everyone! This week was fantastic! We saw so many miracles and it was honestly a ton of fun! Here's what happened:
Highlights:
-We
found this cool little town in our area I hadn't been to yet called
Fort Langley. We walked around and had some great conversations! It
reminded me a bit of downtown St. George, just much greener!
-Here's
one thing we did this week that was a bit stupid not gonna lie. We had a
lesson in Surrey, and we are driving back to Langley which was about a
20min drive. We were on a phone call with some Sisters when a guy honks
at us and tells us that one of our tires is super flat. So we pull over
and sure enough it looks pretty deflated. We weren't sure if it was just
low tire pressure or a leak so we took it to a tire place. When we got
there they told us they could get us in in 2 & 1/2 hours. So guess
what we did? We drove on the potentially leaky tire back to Langley, ate
lunch, and drove back to the shop. We found out after that we had a
screw in the tire and it was a pretty good leak. God really helped us
out there. Was it the best idea? Probably not.
-While our car
was getting fixed we walked around Surrey a bit. As we were walking
around we noticed a lot of people had 7/11 slurpees. We were a bit
confused, but kept walking. Eventually we remembered it was July 11th
and we rushed to the closest 7/11 for a free slurpee. It was a pretty
hot day so it made us very happy.
-Another day we went to
Coquitlam to do some finding, and the second we left our car, this guy
rushes up to us and is like "Elders, Elders, we gotta meet up sometime".
So we said sure and set up a lesson the following day with him. But
before we left he said "Any friend of Jesus is a friend of mine" and
gave us each a hug. It was kinda wierd but funny too. The next day we
met him at the mall, and it was a wild lesson. We were pretty sure he
was high the whole time and he called us handsome about 40 times. But we
shared a short message and passed him off to the Coquitlam Elders. It
was an interesting experience, but pretty cool.
-Satya's
Baptism! It was such a spiritual Baptism! His brother from
California(Who's a member) was even able to come! Seriously I've never
seen Satya happier. We also got most the YSA to come as well(It helped
that we did the Baptism right after church).
Spiritual thought:
Me
and Elder Smith listed to a great general conference talk this week. It
was called Return and Recieve by President Ballard. It talks about the
importance of goals and plans. I have definitely seen the importance of
goal setting and planning on my mission. It really helps for the work to
happen and to happen efficiently. But I wanted to invite each of you to
read or listen to this talk and see what the Lord teaches you!
Anyways, that's all for this week! Have a great week everyone!

I think it's broken for a reason...
Hey everyone! Not too much to update on this week, but here are some pretty cool things that happened:
Highlights:
-Last
Zone Conference! It was great! We really focused on the power of the
Book of Mormon, and it's role in personal conversion! It was fun to see
missionaries I hadn't seen in awhile!
-We went to the White
Rock Pier on Friday! It was very sunny day so it was nice to feel the
ocean breeze! We had a cool conversation with a guy from Korea! Elder
Smith had been to Korea before so they got along great!
-We got to go to the Temple with Emmanuel! It was an amazing experience! He loved it! It's been so cool to see his journey!
-On Sunday our new friend Bobby came to church! He's super cool and he had a great time!
-Yesterday
we were walking around downtown Langley, and we came to a traffic
light. We pressed the walk sign a few times but it didn't change.
However, after a few minutes of trying, a guy came up to cross the
street as well. He said that he takes this route everyday, and it's
never been broken before. We had a great conversation with him, and he
cheerfully took a Book of Mormon and our phone number! Guess the traffic
light needed to break for a reason haha.
-I got to see an
old friend from home this week! Caleb came to Vancouver to check out the
Temple and we were able to run into each other while he was here!
Anyways that's pretty much all for this week!
Spiritual Thought:
At
Zone Conference, President and Sister Gill invited us all to restart
the Book of Mormon, and highlight all the times we see Christ. They
invited us to finish the Book of Mormon by December 23rd. However, with
me only having 3 weeks left(And probably a little over-zealous) decided
to not finish by December 23rd, but to finish by July 31st. So I have
been able to read the Book of Mormon every time I have a spare moment.
It has been a lot of reading, but I am just amazed at how much it
mentions or describes Christ! I'm only at Enos, but I feel like I've
seen over a thousand times Christ is mentioned or described. It just
reaffirmed to me that the Book of Mormon is really a testament of Jesus
Christ! I've been able to learn more about the Savior as I have been
more focused on him as I have read the Book of Mormon this time around.
So
I would like to extend this invitation to all of you! You don't have to
restart, but as you read the Book of Mormon this year(you don't have to
finish in 3 weeks like me), focus on Christ! He is everywhere, and only
through him, we can have the hope, joy, and growth the Gospel of Jesus
Christ brings! I promise that as you do this, that you will get to know
your Savior better, and you will grow closer to him!
Anyways, have a great week yall! Talk to y'all next week!

Seeing the Fruit of Your Labors
Hey everyone! We saw some pretty cool Miracles this week! It's been busy, but super spirit-filled! Here's what happened:
Highlights:
-Members
really pulled up this week, we had so many lessons that got scheduled
pretty quick, but we were able to get a member to come to every one of
our lessons this week!
-Wednesday was awesome. We had
interviews with President Gill. It was my last one before my departing
interview later this month. It was awesome to reflect with him, and to
see the good work that has happened over the last 23 months. But the
coolest thing was we got talking about Haida Gwaii and the work there.
And during our interview, President Gill got a notification that someone
was put on Baptismal Date up on Haida Gwaii. It was super touching to
see how the Lord is preparing the people, and to see how my efforts up
there have led to the work moving forward!
-Friday was our
busiest day, and such a spirit-filled day. We had 4 lessons with our
friends. 3 of which we invited to be Baptized! The Spirit was super
strong, and even though only one of them accepted the invitation, it was
still an amazing experience to teach each of them! So on July 14th our
friend Satya is getting Baptized! He's awesome, and I'm so excited for
him!
-On Saturday we got to explore a new part of our area we
hadn't been to yet. It's called Harrison. It's a small town north of
Chilliwack. We felt prompted to go out, and there turned out to be a LOT
of people there. We had some good conversations, and it was a pretty
nice place.
It was a good week, summers in full bloom so it's nice to not have to wear a jacket anymore.
As
for a bit of a spiritual thought, I definitely saw the importance of
following spiritual promptings. They were critical during our work this
week. But I find it interesting that when a spiritual prompting does
come, it's quiet, but right after, the doubts come. The Adversary works
so hard to have us not follow the promptings of the Spirit. It made me
ponder on how I can more attune to the Spirit, and focus on the
stillness of that first prompting. As I observed it this week, we always
seemed to act immediately, no matter how crazy the idea was. And it was
cool to see what the Lord provided us with by doing that. We were able
to see Miracles, and be in the right places at the right times.
Anyways, that's all for this week! Have a great week everyone!
Haawa!

Let's Do This One More Time😎
Hey everyone! Been a busy week. Hard to believe I only have 5 weeks to go. Time really does fly. However, I'm excited to see what comes in the next few weeks.
Lots happened this last
week, including the news of what's happening my last transfer. I am
staying in the Fraser Valley YSA. I'm so glad I'm staying, it's one of
my favorite areas, and its been really nice to get good advice from
members. Lots of them served missions and recently even returned home. I
feel like its gonna help me adjust when I return home.
As
for companion, I'm ending off with training a new missionary! I was so
excited to get the call to do so, last time I trained a new Elder it was
really hard, and I felt like I hadn't quite left my footprint on the
mission. But I now get another opportunity!
My
new companion is Elder Smith! He's from Edmonton Alberta and he's
awesome! You cant even tell he's brand new. He's a lot of fun, and he's
super diligent. Hes very spiritual and excited to work!
It's
going to be a good last ride, I'm excited for this opportunity to serve
the Lord, and to finish the call which was extended to me over 2 years
ago.
But anyways, here's an update for the week:
Highlights:
-Had
a sweet lesson in McDonald's with our new friend Jay! It was before
transfers, but he's such a great guy, and we can't wait to start working
with him!
-Elder Smith's first lesson was awesome! We were
teaching Ethan, Niko, and Tianna(Our new member and his friends) and the
Spirit was super strong! The Lesson went great and it was a real
confidence booster for Elder Smith!
-We also got to go back
out to Chilliwack! We did our studies out there one morning, and we ran
into some members from Burnaby! Super cool running into them and hearing
their brief testimonies!
-Weather has been so nice, so we've
been outside a lot! It's been nice to say goodbye to the rain and to
have met some new people!
-It's honestly been so fun being
with Elder Smith, he's a fun guy and we get along great! He has a strong
testimony, and we've been able to work together great so far!
It was sad to say goodbye to the trio, but they didn't go too far so I will get to see them around on occasion.
Anyways, that's all for this week! I'm excited for the Miracles that will come in the next few weeks!
Haawa!

Hey everyone! This week absolutely flew by! Not a whole lot happened, but here's what happened:
Highlights:
-We
turned into a trio. An Elder in our Zone got his Visa to Chile so his
companion Elder Hulse is with us for week! It's been a lot of fun. It is
funny though, both him and Elder Hirst are Spanish Speaking so at times
they will fully be speaking Spanish and I'm just the clueless English
speaking Elder haha. It's been fun! We even worked with Elder Galay
again for a few days so we were a Quad. It was a lot of fun!
-We
had interviews with our mission president! It was really brief, but
really good. Definitely looking forward to these last few weeks!
-With
us in a trio, it also means that we temporarily cover a 2nd area as
well, so we've been super busy. But we've seen some cool Miracles! I may
not speak Spanish, but it's cool to see how Spanish work looks like!
-We had 3 member meals this week, for a YSA that's incredible!
-On
Sunday I got to say goodbye to Elder Salmon, he returns home this week.
It was a sad goodbye, but I'll get to see him again eventually. We got
to trade ties too so that was pretty sweet.
-On Sunday we got
to go to Vancouver again for yet another Baptismal Interview! Its been
cool to see Vancouver a bit more, I haven't really spent much time
there. I also got to see Elder Livingston again which was pretty sweet!
-For
weekly planning this week, we were praying for where to go do it, and
we felt inspired to go to the Chilliwack airport. It was super random,
but we heeded the prompting. I'll be honest, I think Haida Gwaii had a
bigger airport, it was super tiny, but we found a place to do our
planning. After we finished we were about to leave, and we ran into an
inactive member. She was shocked that missionaries were at an airport.
However, we had a really good discussion with her, and the Spirit was
very strong. It was a pretty cool experience.
Anyways, for the spiritual thought this week I'll keep it brief:
I've
been thinking a lot about the power of prayer, and how it can help us
connect with God personally, but also together. This week I studied
President Holland's most recent talk and I had a few thoughts from my
read:
1. Prayers are always heard. Even when we
feel like they aren't being answered, they are heard, and they are
answered according to the Gods will.
2. God knows the perfect
way to answer our prayers. It may not be answered the way we want it
too, but it will be answered in the perfect way for us to grow and
become more like our Heavenly Father.
3. Even when we feel
like we can do everything on our own, we can't. We need God in our
lives. And when we have that humility, we can always see his hand in our
lives!
Prayer is so special. I know it has
helped me throughout my life. It is constantly solidifying my testimony,
and helps to bring me closer to God.
I invite
you all to ponder on how you can more access the power that comes
through prayer, in whatever form that may be. I promise as you do so
that you will be able to see the power of prayer more visibly and more
powerfully in your life!
Anyways, that's all I
got this week! We will get transfer news on Thursday, so we will see
what will happen for my last transfer! Have a great week everyone!

🏔️Mountains to Climb🏔️
Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great week! It's crazy how fast the weeks fly now.
This week was super busy, we had 3 exchanges, and travelled a lot. But here's what happened:
Highlights:
-Exchange
with Elder Armstrong! Elder Armstrong is a Spanish Elder, who is also
my District Leader. We had a good time on our exchange, we taught very
well together, I definitely learned a lot from him. He's a very mature
missionary and very diligent! It was a great exchange!
-Exchange
with Elder Jessop! Elder Jessop is a missionary I've only met a few
times, so it was good to get to know him on exchange! We both were
companions with Elder Court so it was fun to share memories we had with
him. We went out to Hope on our exchange. It was a beautiful day, and we
had a great time there! Not a whole lot of people there, but a
beautiful spot of BC.
-Running it back with Elder Walcer! We
went on exchange this week and it was so fun! Elder Walcer was my
longest companion and we haven't really been able to work together since
then. That would have been 14 months ago. So it was really cool to see
how we had grown since then. We had some cool experiences, and quite a
few opportunities to share the gospel! We met a guy in Surrey named Ken
who challenged us to a ping pong match. We ended up talking with him
about the Gospel for 30 minutes before we even began the match haha. We
gave him a Book of Mormon and we are so excited for the Vancouver Elders
to start teaching him! But for the Ping Pong, he destroyed the both of
us haha. We didn't even stand a chance. We also had a cool experience
when we tried knocking on a door of someone who had previously been
taught, and met the guy Richard. He wasn't too interested, but he had
some great questions, and that warmed him up. We shared a quick message
with him, and we hope to see him again! It was pretty cool!
Otherwise
everything else this week was pretty normal, nothing else too exciting.
But this week we are pretty busy so it will be good!
As
for a spiritual thought, what I have been teaching a lot this week is
the Doctrine of Christ with the Analogy of climbing a Mountain.
As
you know, the Doctrine of Christ includes Faith in Jesus Christ,
Repentance, Baptism, The Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the
End.
In this Analogy, we compare the doctrine
to climbing a Mountain. We start with Faith in Jesus Christ. This is the
desire we have to climb a mountain. We know that it isn't going to be
easy, and it could be very dangerous. But we follow that desire, and act
on it. We start our journey up the mountain, following the map(Jesus
Christ) as we make the ascent.
However, we all
make mistakes, so sometimes we trip and fall, or wander off the path.
However, when we turn back to the map(Jesus Christ) we can get back up,
and find our way back to the path. This is Repentance.
When
we get to a certain point of the journey, we hit a checkpoint, or the
point where we are committed. There's no going back. This commitment to
finishing the climb, are Covenants. They connect us with the journey,
and give us the motivation we need to keep going. The first Covenant is
Baptism, and then we have other Covenants we make as we continue on the
Covenant path. It's kind of like when you climb Mount Everest, and there
are different camps, or checkpoints. Each one allow us to commit
ourselves further towards finishing the climb.
Once
we make this first checkpoint(Baptism) the path gets more treacherous.
We need more help. So we get a guide, who is expert in the climb, and
can help us each step of the way. This is the Gift of the Holy Ghost. We
have this personal guide who can help us up this treacherous path.
After
that, we continue with what we have learned. We continue to exercise
our faith in Jesus Christ(Keep moving forward), Repent when we fall down
or get lost, focus on the commitments(Covenants) we make with God, and
listen to the Holy Ghost who guides us up the mountain. However,
throughout the way, we can always turn to the map(Jesus Christ). All of
this is enduring the the end. A growing process that takes us to the
Summit.
As much as we want to take a
Helicopter to the Summit, or just get to Heaven, that's not the point.
We came here to learn, to grow, and to experience the climb. It is hard,
but it is so worth it!
While I haven't had
much experience with climbing mountain, I know from other experiences,
that the grinding journey is always worth it. You learn so much, and the
fulfilment is so much better.
I would invite
each of you to study Elder Renlund's most recent General Conference Talk
The Powerful, Virtuous Cycle of the Doctrine of Christ. It helps us to
understand that we are on this climb, but we need to keep going! I
promise as you do so, the Holy Ghost will bring to mind the things you
need to hear, to give you guidance and direction in your life, as you
climb this mountain!
I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Anyways, I hope you all have a blessed week! Take care!
