Hello yall! Hope everything is going well! Its been an eventful week up here in Port Alberni!

-Zone Conference!
-I got to hold a lizard🦎
-An absolute Miracle of a Bible Drop-Off!
-The Power of Prayer!
-Had some REALLY good studies this week!
Lowlights:
-Ken dropped us
-Finding struggled this week
This
week started out hard. Ken, who we had a really good lesson with last
week, dropped us. So the first few days were a bit tough cause of that,
plus we couldn't find anyone new to teach.
It
all changed around at Zone Conference in Victoria on Friday. It was so
nice to see all the Elders I knew from the last transfers again. Zone
Conference also had some amazing insights! It really turned our week
around!
The night after Zone Conference, we
went back to Port Alberni. We stopped by a members house to pick up
dinner...only... it wasn't their house...
A
lady opened the door, looked at us, and then said: "Come in! Come in!
I'll show you my pets." Me and Elder Walcer slowly walked in, and she
led us to a room with Snakes, a Lizard, and a few Tarantulas. She told
us that she had had missionaries come over every once in awhile to help
out, and that's why she let us in. We had a really good conversation
with her and her roommate. They even let us hold their lizard haha. They
were really nice, and they spoke highly about our church and the
members next door(The ones we were supposed to go see).
After we left, me and Elder Walcer had a good laugh about it haha.
But
Zone conference really changed the week, we applied what was taught to
us in the conference, and we truly saw miracles. People started to talk
to us on Facebook, more people would listen to us on the streets, and we
were more guided by the spirit in the work.
One
CRAZY miracle we had was a Bible Referal we got from another
missionary. On Sunday, we were about to leave to go drop off the Bible
to the guy, when we realized we didn't have a Bible. We scrounged our
apartment, and had no luck. We went to our car, no luck. We went to the
library at the church, no luck. We were already going to be late, and we
couldn't even find a Bible to give to him.
Then
I decided to say a quick prayer in my heart, that I might know where
one was. Then seriously like 2 seconds later I thought, check the
Primary room. I told my companion who was also stressed, and he said
good idea! So we left the library to go to the primary room.
I
felt the spirit so strongly at this point, that I took charge and sped
toward the complete opposite side of the church building from where the
Primary room was, thinking that's probably where the it was haha. Even
though I have literally been in the Primary room so many times haha. I'm
clearly very smart haha.
So after reaching the
other end of the building, I didn't even look at the signs on the wall,
and just walked into a random classroom, that, lo and behold, had a
Bible.
We then met up with the guy, Gerry, and
turns out he wants to learn more! We had a great discussion with him!
What's crazy tho is that Port Alberni hasn't found a new person to teach
in about 4 weeks. It truly shows that if we trust in God literally,
miracles can happen. We just have to be willing to ask, and listen.
Anyways, that's this week! What a week! Truly this work is inspired and cannot stop! Truly, miracles have not ceased!!
