Hello everyone! This week was amazing! So much happened I can't wait to tell yall about it!
Goods:
-Elders P-Day!
-Showing off my non-existent Pickleball skills💪
-I
had the Greatest Chicken Sandwich of All Time at a place in Nanaimo
called Nandas. Pretty much it was Buffalo Wild Wings in a sandwich.
-Interviews with President Gill!
-Turns out I really like Greek Food
-Thanksgiving!🇺🇲
-Lesson with Gerry
-Church tour with our new friends Jolee and Madi!
-The Householders!
Bads:
-A little sick at times but thankfully last only a couple of days.
Lesson
with Gerry: Thursday night, we met back up with Gerry, the person we
dropped the Bible off for last week. The lesson was in his tiny trailer
with no electricity or anything, and it was him, us, and a big dog. As
we started to teach, the dog started to whine and bark SO much it was
distracting Gerry from the lesson. This went on for about 10 min, and
then I decided to say a silent prayer that the Holy Ghost would come in
and touch Gerrys heart as we taught, and all distractions would leave.
And I kid you not, immediately, the Holy Ghost entered, the dog fell
asleep, and we taught Gerry a very profound, and spirit-filled lesson.
Church
tour with our new friends Jolee and Madi: Jolee and Madi are two high
school girls that we found through Facebook. They attend a local
community church, but have been exploring other churches. Once the
leaders of their community church found out they were interested in our
church, they exposed these two girls with absolutely every kind of Anti
about the church. So we had a call lesson with them and they asked us
questions about almost every false ideals of our church. We answered
them correctly, and taught them the correct principles, and they agreed
to come take a tour of our church building.
The
Church tour went really well, they thought our building was pretty
cool. But me and Elder Walcer had a prompting to show them the Meet The
Mormons movie after the tour was over. They were ok to watch it so we
did. The spirit was SO STRONG during the movie it was crazy. They felt
the spirit too. And then we bore our testimonies and the spirit was even
stronger. After the tour, these girls said they would come to church
this week, and they don't really want to go back to their community
church.
The Householders: The Householders are sick. They are
members who own a bed and breakfast here in Port Alberni, and are from
Utah! They were on vacation for the last month or so, so they now back
here in Port Alberni! They have been so nice and generous to us this
week! They fed us not once, but 3 times, and one was for Thanksgiving!
In return we raked a TON of leaves on their massive property. If you
thought raking leaves was bad, just add a scoop of prickly chestnuts
with every haul. But the Householders are so nice and we have grown
pretty close to them in just one week!
Today, I
am here in Vancouver to visit the Temple with my Zone! Its been so much
fun to see all the other missionaries, and I also will be in Victoria
on an Exchange with Elder Peñúñuri my Zone Leader! So I will be with
Elder Achal and Elder Canals again for that one night! Its pretty much
how it was back in Kamloops haha. I'm excited for the Temple &
Victoria! Its gonna be an interesting week!
Hope yall are doing well! Happy late Thanksgiving!
-Elder Biesinger
So sorry everyone I totally forgot to take pictures this week, but I'll be sure to make that up this next week.
