Return of the Nanda Chicken Sandwich

Hey yall! Hope yall had a great week! Things are still going along great here in Victoria! Here's what happened:

Highlights:

-Zone Conference and 18 months! Got to see Elder Walcer again and it was great to spend our 18 month mark together!

-The return of the Nanda Chicken Sandwich. We got to go to Nandas again! It's been almost a year and what a way to celebrate in Nanaimo again!

-Interviews with President Gill! Had a great interview with him this week! Learned a lot!

-Getting bashed by some Pastors downtown. It was Elder Jung's first time Street Contacting and we got bashed hard haha.

-Our friend Yalui accepted the invitation to be Baptized! We are so excited for him! We don't have a date yet, but it's still exciting! Spanish work is going great here in Victoria! Still don't know an ounce of Spanish though haha.

-We met our new friend Tina! She runs a small store in Downtown Victoria, we stopped by and met her with Elder Sewell(The Spanish Service Missionary). We came back the next day and taught her about Prophets! We are excited to teach her again this week!

Spiritual Thought:

-This week I had the opportunity to read about Nephi constructing a boat in 1 Nephi chapters 17-18. What really amazes me is after 8 years or so travelling in the wilderness, when the Lord calls Nephi to build a boat, all Nephi does is ask how he can get started. He doesn't question it, he just remains humble and diligent. It really shows the Christlike Character growing inside Nephi. He still isn't perfect, but seeing the difference between Nephi in chapters 17-18 to chapters 1-2 is quite large. He has matured and grown. And what has he done to do it? He has simple just humbled himself and put everything in the hands of the Lord. I had a member here put it this way: We know we are on the right path when we notice even little faults or cracks in us, and we seek to do better, to change. You know you are converting to the Gospel when you understand that Joy is the growth! I have really seen that since I've been out here. I look back on 1st transfer me and I honestly barely recognize him. I see all the things I hadn't learned yet, but I also see how throughout my mission it has been a big learning curve. I'm eternally grateful for it.

Invitation: Go re-listen or read President Oaks most recent General Conference Talk: Kingdoms of Glory. It's a great study!

Anyways y'all, thats it for this week! Hope yall have a great week! Remember that God is always there for you!

Haawa!
