Photoshoot at a Filipino Birthday Party📸

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone had a great week! This week flew by! Heres what happened:

Highlights:

- Zone Conference! Got to see some Elders I hadnt seen in awhile & got to meet a TON of new ones! We had a combined zone conference with the Chinese Zone! So I heard quite a Manderin haha.

- Food Mesh! Every Thursday we spend our morning helping with a food drive at the church, where we sort food, package it up, and deliver it to struggling families all over Surrey! It was a ton of fun & we met some amazing people!

- The Boyz😎 There are 3 young men who are about to go on missions in the ward, so they have been doing missionary work with us to prepare! They are sick! And one gets their call either today or next week!

- Volleyball with members! It really put my skills to the test! Most of these members played in school, so it helped me realize Im not that good at Volleyball haha😅

- Some members took us to Red Robin for lunch💪🏻

- Social Media work got us traveling a bit this week, so I got to see a little bit more of the LML(Lower Mainland(Vancouver Area))

-Culture Shock!

Lowlights:

-Its been hard to meet up & contact our friends this week :(

Culture Shock: This week I felt like I entered another country haha. I heard people speak Togalic, Punjabi, Hindi, Spanish, Manderin, Korean, Japanese, and Portuguese! It was a crazy week! The majority of the ward is from the Philippines, or other places in South Asia. But some interesting things I learned about the Lower Mainland(Vancouver Area):

-80%ish of people in Richmond speak Manderian.

-Surrey is known as "Little India"

-Vancouver is a mix of SOO many cultures.

But, these people are AMAZING! They are so friendly, & love to share their culture with us! Mostly in food haha. This week I had so much Filipino food haha. Later this transfer, the ward is having a Luao so that'll be fun!

Anyways, now the spiritual stuff haha.

We met our friend Bryan this week! He just called us and said he wanted to come to church! So on Sunday, he came, and he loved it! He wants to learn more & come back again!

Excited for General Conference this upcoming weekend! I know there will be so many great insights and lessons shared!
