Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great week! This week was exciting! Here's what happened:
Highlights:
-
P-day in Victoria with all the Elders there! Got to stop by Le Belle
Patate to have some great Poutine and see Matti(the fire member that
owns the place)!
- Exchange with Elder Gonçalves! He is a brand new Elder from France! He is sick and has a super strong testimony!
- Our friend Wes & our new friend Shane!
- We were able to start up Volleyball Nights!
- We met a lot of Members this week and set up lots of lessons for next week!
- Miracle with our friend Amir!
- Found some pretty cool picture spots!
Lowlights:
- Its been 3 weeks into the transfer already and it feels like I got here a week ago haha its going so fast!
Wes
& Shane: Wes is our referral friend we got last week, and we were
able to teach him and he is SOO elect! He has the desire to change, and
to grow his relationship with Heavenly Father! After our first lesson,
his friend Shane was talking with Wes and said he wanted to meet with
us! Yesterday we taught both Shane & Wes! Shane is going through a
hard time, everyone please pray for him🙏. But it was a SUPER spiritual
lesson! Shane also has that desire for change and to grow his
relationship with Heavenly Father! AND... Wes was able to bear his
growing testimony to Shane! Them progressing off of each other is
incredible! They are going to start coming to church together too!
Amir:
A few days ago, we were driving to the church to do some social media
work, when I recieved a prompting to go Street Contacting. The Spirit
persisted, so I told Elder Walcer, and we went Street Contacting! What's
crazy is the Spirit told me to go to the park downtown, and even GUIDED
my driving! We got there without the aid of Google Maps! Once we got
there, we started walking around the park. Thats when I saw Amir, he was
standing on the pier admiring the scenery. He was the FIRST person we
talked to We! We walked up and started talking to him! He immediately
sat us down, and we had an HOUR long lesson/discussion with him! The
spirit was SOO strong! He wants to learn more and read the Book Of
Mormon, however he is from Afghanistan, and him and his entire family is
Muslim, so he can't meet with us :( But he is super spiritual and is
SOO elect! Hopefully we can meet him again at the park!
Anyways,
sorry its a bit shorter this week! But still the work goes on! The
spirit guides others day by day! Have a great week everyone!
