Adidas means Chicken Feet???

Hey yall! Hope yall had a great week! This week was pretty busy! Here's what happened:

First, the title, apparently in Filipino culture, they have a dish called Adidas, which is just cooked Chicken Feet. So I couldn't help but make a joke about the shoe company haha.

Highlights:

-We taught an INCREDIBLE lesson with our friend Yalui. He was previously on Baptismal Date, but didn't feel ready yet. However, he only speaks Spanish, so our entire lesson was pretty much done over Google Translate. It was interesting, but was really good!

-Snow Days!!!

-We met our new friend Arif! He reached out to us and wanted to come to church! He wasn't able to come this week, but we gave him a Chapel tour, and he absolutely loved it! He wants to meet again and learn more!

-Jordie!

-There was a Ward Baptism in Victoria 2nd Ward this last Saturday, and our friend Tyler was able to come! He really liked it! He also came to church, and his mom came too! We are hoping to start teaching her soon as well!

-Us English speaking missionaries are now in charge of English classes here in Victoria! The only hard part is the majority of the people who come speak little to no English and only Spanish haha. So English Class this week was a learning experience! It went pretty good though!

-We attended Victoria 1st Ward this Sunday and it was great! Me and Elder Jung bore our testimonies in Sacrament Meeting, and we were able to meet some wonderful members in Victoria 1st Ward! We even had 3 friends join us this week!

Lowlights:

-Because of literally 3 inches of snow, we weren't allowed to drive for 2 days :(

Snow Days:

-We finally got some snow in Victoria! We got a whole 3 inches!!! However, for 2 days while it was snowing(barely snowing I might add) we weren't allowed to drive our cars. The first day, we cancelled all our lessons, and walked for half the day, but no one was really out. We did have a couple of decent conversations though. The second day, we got permission to take local transit everywhere, so we were all over the place that day. We had 4 lessons, and with bus rides sometimes an hour long, it was a great opportunity to talk to people. We had some good conversations, nothing too crazy, but still, felt a lot better than just walking around in the snow for hours at a time. And what's funny? The snow lasted for literally 3 days haha. How is this Canada haha.

Anyways, for the spiritual thought this week: This week the question we asked members in our lessons was: What's one thing you really love about the Plan of Salvation? We had so many fantastic answers! All the answers however were connected to one simple, eternal truth: God loves us with all His heart, might, mind, and strength. And because of that love, literally everything is made possible. It was wonderful to hear these amazing members testify of their testimony of the Plan of Salvation and the eternal love God has for them, and for us! So what's one thing you really love about the Plan of Salvation?

Anyways, that's all for this week! Hope everyone had a fantastic week!

(Also I hit my 18 Month Mark tomorrow! Can't believe it's been that long!)

Haawa!
