Hey yall! Hope yall had a fantastic week! Lots happened this week! Here's what happened:
First, we got transfer news this week. I am in Victoria 1st and 2nd Ward, and I am training a brand new missionary! His name is Elder Jung! He is from Lindon Utah.
Highlights:
-Exchange with Elder Johnson!
-Transfers!
-Got to see a bunch of old missionary friends at transfers!
Otherwise, pretty much all this week was just the grind, nothing else exciting.
Exchange with Elder Johnson: It was a great exchange with Elder Johnson! I've known him for a while now so we had a good time together! We were very busy when we were together, we taught two of their friends, which funny enough are now the friends I will teach haha. The lessons were so good, super spiritual. A great time over in Victoria 1st ward, and gained a lot of valuable information for transfers!
Spiritual thought this week: This week I studied a talk by Elder Uchtdorf called Your Great Adventure. It's one of my favourite talks. Something that stuck out to me as I read it is the security that is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While we go throughout our lives, we have people around us to help us as we go through the challenges of the journey, however there is even more security that comes through the church. There is more direction, more stability, more safety from the dangers and challenges of the world. There are many dangers, and storms out there, but the church can help us along, at all times. It is our best way to have that security. It won't eliminate all uncomfortabilities, or danger, but help to prepare us to overcome them, so that once we reach our divine and heavenly home, we will be fully prepared for all the infinite blessings God will bestow upon us. Covenants are also a big part that helps us along our adventure. They help us to direct our focus on what's important, which is Jesus Christ. That even when those dangers, and storms come, we can overlook them, and focus on the growth, and the wonderful promise that "[we] can do all things through Christ, [who strengthens us]". And the church helps us to build upon these covenants and truly become exactly what our Heavenly Father knows we can become, and desires for us to become.
