Hello everyone! This week has been super crazy! Lots happened!
Highlights:
-District P-day in Nanaimo!
-Exchange with Elder Gibbs-Hector in Duncan!
-Exchange with Elder McCreadie in Victoria!
-Had a companion interview/Council with President and Sister Gill in Nanaimo!
Lowlights:
-Within
the last week, there has been about 10 Elders around the mission
emergency transfered to different areas because of problems. Super sad
to see these Elders struggling and hope the best for them in their new
areas.
-Transfers are next Wednesday, and I'm about 99% super
me and Elder Walcer are being transfered, so its sad to think I wont be
in Port Alberni for much longer. But excited to see what will happen!
Exchange
with Elder Gibbs-Hector: I went on Exchange with my District Leader
Elder Gibbs-Hector this week in Duncan! He is amazing and an absolute
stud! We taught some lessons, and I got to know him more!
Exchange
with Elder McCreadie: I went on exchange this week in Victoria with my
Zone Leader Elder McCreadie! He is 6' 8" and is absolutely amazing! We
taught 4 lessons in the one night i was there and one was absolutely
amazing!
We taught an inactive returned
missionary named Colton. It was the first lesson the missionaries had
had with him. The spirit was flooding the room while we taught. He
immediately began to trust us and knew we wanted to help him. He told us
the struggles he was dealing with and we helped him to understand some
things that could help. After the lesson he asked if we could give him a
blessing. He asked me to do it. The second I started the blessing, the
spirit became so strong that the words that came out of my mouth were
words that i know my mind couldnt have come up with. In fact the spirit
was so strong that i actually started to choke up during the blessing.
It was by far the greatest blessing I had given.
After
I finished the blessing, and Colton thanked us I saw something in his
eyes I hadnt seen during the lesson. I saw hope. He knew and felt that
God was there to help him. I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach
and give Colton that blessing and Im grateful that I could be the
catalyst for the spirit to speak and bless him.
Also
while I was in Victoria, I was able to see the missionaries serving
down there and it was so much fun to see them again! We also played
volleyball with the YSA which was so much fun! It was an amazing
exchange!
Anyways, thats all for this week,
next weeks email will have news on where I am being transfered to! It'll
be exciting! Have a great week everyone!
