Hello everyone! It's been an exciting week! Here's what happened:
Highlights:
-6 Months on the Mish!
-We finally had a guitar class!
-We met our friend Bill!
-Tracting
-Transfer News!
Lowlights:
-We did a lot of cleaning & prep for transfers.
-
We got on transfer calls Monday night, just to find out we won't find
out about transfers until Tuesday morning. Very anticlimactic and kind
of confusing.
OK, I'm writing this before I
find out about transfer news. Here's my prediction: I am being
transferred to Surrey to stay in Social Media work. Stay tuned to the
end of the email to see what actually happens!
Bill-
We had a lesson with our friend Colton, but he showed up late. Elder
Walcer felt impressed for us to go tracting and knock on 3 doors. By the
time we made it to the 3rd door we met Bill. Bill was super nice and
let us in, and we had a wonderful discussion with him! He used to be a
member, and is very spiritual and we are excited to teach him!
Guitar
Class- For the last 2 transfers, me and Elder Walcer have been trying
to do a free guitar class with the community here in Port Alberni. Sadly
it hasn't worked, until this week! We finally got enough people out,
and it was so much fun! It went very well! It was nice to be able to use
our talents to spread the Gospel!
6 Months- I
can't believe 6 months has passed! Time really does fly by on the
mission haha. I may have only been to 2 areas, and only had 2
companions, but I have enjoyed every moment of my mission! There have
been highs and there have been lows, but this work is good! I am so
excited for what the next 18 months will bring!
Transfer
News: Drum roll please! ................. I am... going to Naniamo! And
Elder Walcer is my companion still! Not a far transfer but im still on
the Island! Excited to see what comes next!
