Me No Speaka Español But Me Speaka About Jesus Christ

Hello everyone! It's been a busy and eventful week, and I'm excited to tell yall about it!

Highlights:
-I got to go to the Vancouver Temple!
-Zone Conference Part 2!
-Exchange with Elder Peñúñuri in Victoria!
-Poutine, and authentic Mexican food!
-Apparently I can still testify of the gospel when I don't know Spanish haha
-Jolee & Madi came to church!!!
-First Presidency Christmas Devotional

Lowlights:
-I thought I could escape the snow here on the island.... I was wrong

Temple:  The trip to the temple was amazing! It took us half a day of driving and a ferry ride to get to Richmond. Then the next morning we drove out to Langley and did a session in the temple! It was an incredible experience! And I got to do a family name as well so that was special. Its a small, but beautiful temple.

Zone Conference Part 2: After the temple, we found out our ferry back to the Island was canceled because of bad weather, so we were stuck in Richmond for another night. It was a bit chaotic but it ended up being so spiritual. My entire zone ended up having a big dinner at the church, and had a mini Zone Conference with President and Sister Gill at their house. And the lesson was so spiritual, I had many questions answered in that short lesson. What a way to make up for the bad weather.

Exchanges: After we finally got back to the Island, I went on exchange with my zone leader Elder Peñúñuri in Victoria! It was an amazing exchange! I got to see my last companion Elder Achal again and Elder Canals from Kamloops! I got to see downtown Victoria, which was way smaller than I thought it would be, but still was super cool! And because Elder Peñúñuri is a Spanish missionary, we visited 2 members of the Spanish ward! We had dinner with one of them which made pure authentic Mexican food! It was super good! I even tried the super spicy salsas haha. I actually found them super tasty haha. But it was daunting to teach families that knew little English. But Elder Peñúñuri helped to translate. I found it easy to follow along with the little Spanish I know haha. And I was still able to testify to them of Jesus Christ, even with the language barrier. Elder Peñúñuri is such an amazing missionary! I was so glad to be able to go on an exchange with him!

Jolee & Madi: Jolee & Madi are the two teenagers we are teaching, that we gave a church tour to last week! They were able to come to church this week and absolutely loved it! One of them even told us they want to come to church every week now! Sunday night, we watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional with them, and Jolee didn't seem well the whole time. Her stomach was hurting her, and she was in a lot of pain. She was planning on going to the hospital after our lesson was over. Me and Elder Walcer had the prompting to give her a priesthood blessing, so we asked her if we could and she said yes. We gave her a super spiritual blessing, and then we bore our testimonies and left. The next day, she told us her stomach is now not bothering her! And she recognized that God helped her with that. Both Madi and Jolee's testimonies are growing so fast! Its amazing!

Anyways, I hope yall are doing well! I'm surviving up here in cold cold Canada haha. Have a great week everyone!
