Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a great week! This week was busy! Heres what happened:
Highlights:
-Temple Trip! Always love attending the temple!
-Last
P-day we did a massive Pickleball tournament with most of the zone. I
was paired with Elder Quist, a missionary I've kind of served around but
never in the same district. He is amazing though! Not only did we do
pretty good in the tournament, but we did it in style. We both wore our
Aviators, and our catchphrase was going to be: "We fly planes", but I
messed up my English and said Trains instead of Planes haha. So we stuck
with it. It was a ton of fun!
-We met our new friend Jamie!
He has been meeting on and off with missionaries for almost 25 years
now, but he LOVES the gospel. He has pamphlets taped on his walls, he
has a testimony of the Book of Mormon, and even recited to us pretty
much the Plan of Salvation. He is so elect! He still has a ways to go
before baptism, but he really wants to get to the temple! Quite a
miracle!
-We also met our friend Sarabjeet! Sarabjeet reached
out to missionaries to learn English, since he just moved from India,
and we got talking to him, and he is interested in the Bible, the Book
of Mormon, and coming to church! He even came to church on Sunday! He is
excited to learn about the gospel!
-We had Volleyball Night
with some members and it was a ton of fun! A Sister I also served
around, who went home also came by to say hi to the ward, so it was fun
to see her!
-Primary's Got Talent: The ward did a massive
talent show for the Primary that we helped set up for, and got to watch!
It was a ton of fun to see all the Primary kids having fun and showing
their talents!
-On Sunday, we got to visit Burnaby to attend a
Tagalog Sunday School! Since we are in charge of the Tagalog Social
Media page, we are trying to share it with all the Tagalog members in
BC! It was cool to see a new part of the mission, and meet new members!
-Mission
Tour with Elder Sabin! Elder Sabin of the General Authority Seventy
came and visited our mission yesterday! So not only were we able to see
all the missionaries, but we were able to have an Incredibly spiritual
experience! Elder Sabin is amazing! He spoke on many topics, but one
that I loved was the importance of using scriptures while teaching! One
scripture he shared really stuck out to me:
"And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you."
-Joshua 3:5
The
Lord wants to do wonders among us always! We just need to Sanctify
ourselves and trust in Him and we will see Miracles! It really spoke out
to me because this is something I have seen a lot in my mission!
