Hey everyone! Been a busy week. Hard to believe I only have 5 weeks to go. Time really does fly. However, I'm excited to see what comes in the next few weeks.
Lots happened this last
week, including the news of what's happening my last transfer. I am
staying in the Fraser Valley YSA. I'm so glad I'm staying, it's one of
my favorite areas, and its been really nice to get good advice from
members. Lots of them served missions and recently even returned home. I
feel like its gonna help me adjust when I return home.
As
for companion, I'm ending off with training a new missionary! I was so
excited to get the call to do so, last time I trained a new Elder it was
really hard, and I felt like I hadn't quite left my footprint on the
mission. But I now get another opportunity!
My
new companion is Elder Smith! He's from Edmonton Alberta and he's
awesome! You cant even tell he's brand new. He's a lot of fun, and he's
super diligent. Hes very spiritual and excited to work!
It's
going to be a good last ride, I'm excited for this opportunity to serve
the Lord, and to finish the call which was extended to me over 2 years
ago.
But anyways, here's an update for the week:
Highlights:
-Had
a sweet lesson in McDonald's with our new friend Jay! It was before
transfers, but he's such a great guy, and we can't wait to start working
with him!
-Elder Smith's first lesson was awesome! We were
teaching Ethan, Niko, and Tianna(Our new member and his friends) and the
Spirit was super strong! The Lesson went great and it was a real
confidence booster for Elder Smith!
-We also got to go back
out to Chilliwack! We did our studies out there one morning, and we ran
into some members from Burnaby! Super cool running into them and hearing
their brief testimonies!
-Weather has been so nice, so we've
been outside a lot! It's been nice to say goodbye to the rain and to
have met some new people!
-It's honestly been so fun being
with Elder Smith, he's a fun guy and we get along great! He has a strong
testimony, and we've been able to work together great so far!
It was sad to say goodbye to the trio, but they didn't go too far so I will get to see them around on occasion.
Anyways, that's all for this week! I'm excited for the Miracles that will come in the next few weeks!
