Hey everyone! We saw some pretty cool Miracles this week! It's been busy, but super spirit-filled! Here's what happened:
Highlights:
-Members
really pulled up this week, we had so many lessons that got scheduled
pretty quick, but we were able to get a member to come to every one of
our lessons this week!
-Wednesday was awesome. We had
interviews with President Gill. It was my last one before my departing
interview later this month. It was awesome to reflect with him, and to
see the good work that has happened over the last 23 months. But the
coolest thing was we got talking about Haida Gwaii and the work there.
And during our interview, President Gill got a notification that someone
was put on Baptismal Date up on Haida Gwaii. It was super touching to
see how the Lord is preparing the people, and to see how my efforts up
there have led to the work moving forward!
-Friday was our
busiest day, and such a spirit-filled day. We had 4 lessons with our
friends. 3 of which we invited to be Baptized! The Spirit was super
strong, and even though only one of them accepted the invitation, it was
still an amazing experience to teach each of them! So on July 14th our
friend Satya is getting Baptized! He's awesome, and I'm so excited for
him!
-On Saturday we got to explore a new part of our area we
hadn't been to yet. It's called Harrison. It's a small town north of
Chilliwack. We felt prompted to go out, and there turned out to be a LOT
of people there. We had some good conversations, and it was a pretty
nice place.
It was a good week, summers in full bloom so it's nice to not have to wear a jacket anymore.
As
for a bit of a spiritual thought, I definitely saw the importance of
following spiritual promptings. They were critical during our work this
week. But I find it interesting that when a spiritual prompting does
come, it's quiet, but right after, the doubts come. The Adversary works
so hard to have us not follow the promptings of the Spirit. It made me
ponder on how I can more attune to the Spirit, and focus on the
stillness of that first prompting. As I observed it this week, we always
seemed to act immediately, no matter how crazy the idea was. And it was
cool to see what the Lord provided us with by doing that. We were able
to see Miracles, and be in the right places at the right times.
Anyways, that's all for this week! Have a great week everyone!
